Barrett Weisz is of counsel in the Denver law firm of ROBERTS LEVIN ROSENBERG PC, specializing in the areas of criminal defense and civil litigation in State and Federal courts. In addition to our offices in Denver, Mr. Weisz also maintains offices in Boulder, Colorado.

Mr. Weisz has vast experience in criminal defense. Mr. Weisz has represented individuals under investigation for, or charged with, complex financial crimes as well as persons charged with misdemeanors and traffic offenses. Mr. Weisz has tried many criminal cases before juries in both State and Federal court, and has received acquittals in cases ranging from driving under the influence to first degree murder. In addition to his expertise in criminal jury trials, Mr. Weisz has argued criminal appeals before the Colorado Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Mr. Weisz has been named a Colorado Super Lawyer for criminal defense in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Mr. Weisz’s civil experience includes numerous jury trials on behalf of plaintiffs in personal injury and insurance bad faith matters. Mr. Weisz also has substantial experience with general civil litigation on behalf of individuals and companies.

Prior to joining ROBERTS LEVIN ROSENBERG PC in 2011, Mr. Weisz was a founding partner of Ridley, McGreevy, & Weisz in 2006. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Weisz practiced criminal defense and civil litigation at Richilano and Ridley, P.C. Mr. Weisz spent the first five years of his career as a trial lawyer with the Colorado State Public Defender representing individuals charged with crimes in various Colorado jurisdictions including Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Jefferson County.

Mr. Weisz previously served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar. Mr. Weisz is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, the Boulder Bar Association, and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Weisz is admitted to the Colorado State Bar, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Mr. Weisz received his juris doctorate from the University of Denver, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Mr. Weisz received his undergraduate degree with high honors from the University of California, San Diego. Mr. Weisz was born and raised in Orange County, California.
