Ross B. H. Buchanan has a general civil trial practice, with primary emphasis on personal injury and product liability matters.  He has also represented clients in commercial matters, employment disputes and civil rights litigation. 

Mr. Buchanan is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for 2008 through 2010 both in the area of personal injury litigation, and was inducted into membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates in October, 2008. Additionally, Mr. Buchanan has been active in various professional associations, primarily the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, for which he served on the Board of Directors for many years and as its President in 2002-2003.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Buchanan participated in various pro bono activities, including representation of indigent clients through the Denver Bar Association’s Thursday Night Bar program, and membership on the American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado’s Board of Directors.

He was raised in Boulder, Colorado, where he attended and graduated from public schools.  He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California in 1978, where he played football and ran track.  He received his juris doctorate degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1982.
