Kerri J. Atencio

Insurance bad faith and insurance coverage law firm in Colorado

Kerri J. Atencio practiced law with Bradley A. Levin and Thomas L. Roberts from 1998 – 2001. She happily rejoined the Firm in December 2009 after spending the previous five years at Holland & Hart, LLP. While there, she primarily represented insurance companies in coverage disputes and bad faith lawsuits, including in particular ERISA cases. She also handled employment, real estate, and commercial litigation matters and authored or contributed to over a dozen articles on topics related to her practice areas. Kerri is admitted to practice in the states of Colorado and Montana, as well as the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. For the second year in a row, Kerri is a member of the American Heart Association Denver HeartWalk Executive Leadership Team, and has volunteered hundreds of hours to other community projects, pro bono cases, and the improvement of the legal profession in her 12 years of practice. Kerri served as the Chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyers Division from 2005-2006, and is a member of the Colorado Bar Foundation.
